I was asked to be an assistant photographer for a wedding a few months back. It was fun to view a wedding from behind the lense! These are some of the favorite pictures I took.
This little man could turn on the charm; at 4, he already has wandering eyes. He eagerly smiled at the camera, but his eyes would dart this way and that. I employed the always useful 1..2..3.. eyes on me to capture several priceless moments.
Miss Yaya has suffered from a lifelong affliction of pose-itis. The camera comes on a frozen smile and dead eyes pop into place. The only cures for pose-itis are long walks with Mom and frolicking through fields of flowers. Well done Miss Yaya!
It is funny to me how eager little girls are to turn their inner divas on the moment a camera is turned in their direction. It doesn't matter if they are shy or grumpy, happy or moody; they just can't help themselves and we are all better for it.
I stepped into the opportunity to take portraits of a couple of families at a friend's family gathering on Saturday. It was chaotic and crazy and fun all at once. I had about 10-15 minutes with each group and discovered exactly how hard it is to get 3-5 people to all look in the same direction at the same time and smile. I have a new respect for the poor guy who always took our family photos; trying to get around 20 people to all look not horrible at the same time... he was a genius! Here are some of the results...
I wanted to be able to have options with my photography since Oregon is such an unpredictable state when it comes to weather... thus the studio. Ana and I had fun playing with textures and lighting and I think we got some fun shots.
I had 10 minutes this morning before church and all of my kids looked cute and Clean! We took a detour by the park and snapped several shots of the kids. For 3 minutes each, we got some great pics.
